well... 72km route march. Many heard of it. Some seen it. But how many tried it? I wld like to ask evryone wat they think of it. Some of the most common answers are 'itz shag. itz tough. itz tiring. itz amazing. etc' Some arrogant ones wld say 'any1 can do it. itz all abt mental. itz only route march. itz nothing.' Everyone have their own answers abt the 72km route march. I had my own. In fact, i had 2 ans to my own question. One was b4, the other was after.

Hm..... aiyah.. nothing one la... COnfirm Brunei more shag lo. Brunei, the load so heavy, still need to climb knors, how shag? aiyah, 72km load though full 10 pack, but so much lighter. Shld be quite chicken feet 1 la.

Wat the fuck?! 72km route march is no joke. This is the most shag thing i ever exprienced. Really stretches my limit.
Why the big change of ans? Simple. The process was painful. Itz suffering. It makes me feel helpless. Why? Even when my legs are full of blisters, i still need to walk. Even my whole body was full of abrasion, i still need to walk. Even my headache is killing me, i still need to walk. Even u cant walk anymore, u still need to walk. I wasnt joking abt all this. Ppl who aint in our shoes, wld never understand that. NEVER. Even they say they understood. NEVER!!!! And for more than 24 hrs without sleep and still need to walk isnt a joke. Wats best? After the wak, we still have a parade which we cannot fall out.
Wat keep us going on in the route march? Wat kept us on in the parade? Simple. Ya family, ya love ones, ya frenz, and ya supporters whom u invited to the Parade. All of them are going to witness ya proudest day. So there's no way i can fall out. This is wat kept us going on. ANd of course... The fruits of the long painful 10 mths wait. The Red Beret.
I wld urge anyone. From any unit. Any ranks. Pls. Whenever your try to speak ill of the elite forces in Singapore, The Commandos, pls. Think of wat we went tru. Itz not easy. No other units walk the 72km.
At the end of the day, i can proudly lift up my head and tell myself. 'I completed 72km with full 10 pack item. I did nt cheat myself.' Unlike some other places where they only put pillow, air-blown ziplock bags, etc in their fieldpack and walked their route marches. Itz disgusting.
